Men's Small Group:

        When:   Saturday's @ 8:00am

                     October 14 to November 4

Where:  Husky Restaurant  615 York Road, NOTL

In the church today, many men find themselves confused about what it actually means to be   a man.  Our culture does little to help. The result is a generation of men who struggle to embrace their responsibilities, roles, and the purpose for which God created them.

In this series, Mark Batterson, highlights seven virtues of manhood to offer clear insight into   what it means to be a faithful man of God. Keying in on the story of the martyr Polycarp, Mark teaches through engaging stories to inspire men towards biblical discipleship that can transform the generations to come.

Women's Small Group:

             When:   Tuesday Nights @ 7:00pm (Alternating Tuesday's)

                            Starting September 17 (7 Sessions)

Where:  Village Bible Church  736 York Road, NOTL

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout   every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you're tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you.

Small Group:   Apologetics

When:  Every Other Friday Night @ 6:30pm

                   Starting September 22

       Where:  953 Creek Road, NOTL

Why does God allow suffering and tragedy? Does science disprove Christianity? Is Jesus really the only way? Why are Christians so hypocritical? Christians throughout the ages have wrestled with questions like these, and chances are, so do you. Having faith isn't always easy. You may not always have the “winning” answer that makes you popular. Sometimes believing the Bible might make you feel like everyone's against you. But it's critical that you don't run from these types of questions.

In these four challenging sessions, students share real-life stories about their own struggles in coming to terms with what Scripture teaches about God, sin, creation and Jesus.

Small Group:  Restore - Rebuild - Renew

     When:  Wednesday Nights @ 6:30pm

                   October 18 - December 20

     Where:  Village Bible Church

In this small group study, we will study in chronological order the Bible books written in the post-exilic period -- the historical books of Ezra and Nehemiah, and the minor prophets; Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. These books aren't well known among Christians today, but they are chock full of lessons for disciples, designed to help us grow in Christ's image.

These books include lessons on why God withholds blessings, and why he restores them, many promises of the coming messiah, the promise of covenant marriage and the dangers of divorce, finding the joy of the Lord as our strength, and much, much more.

This is a ten-week study that will begin on October 18 and run through to December 20.
